Investigators Notes
Jennifer Sprague: On this investigation, I was note-taker for the group. I personally did not experience anything for this investigation, but other members of the group reported some odd feelings. We started off the investigation in the main part of the building and worked our way throughout the outer hallway and back room and finishing up with some recordings in the bathrooms. I'm curious to see if any of the other members caught anything on their recordings as we did some EVP sessions in various areas where people reported occurrences. The place has a great and interesting history and I feel very fortunate that our group had a chance to investigate such an interesting place. Much thanks to the owners for allowing us out there!
Edward Quentin: There's always a bit of an art to determining what's ambient noise versus what might be paranormal. We have to take into account if there were any sounds bleeding in from other parts of the building (such as the studio back by the office) or if there was anyone directly upstairs from the performance space. Some of the sounds I clipped might be ambient/bleeding, but others seem to be genuine. I tend to grab anything I think might be interesting and let others listen and make their own determination. Sometimes it's easier to hear what's going on by wearing headphones.
I generally include a time stamp so I know where I am in the building. We were in the performance space from 9 pm to roughly 10 pm, then in the office between 10 pm and 10:45, then back in the performance space. From roughly 11:05 - 11:15, it was just me and one other in the performance space, as the others were checking out the bathrooms.
I had two digital recorders going, one on my wrist (the Dick Tracy watch) and another traditional recorder in the performance space that I left there when we went into the office. No EVPs from that recorder popped up during the time we were not in the performance space, but I got confirmation of the odd sounds I picked up on my watch while we were in there. I marked the ones from the second recorder with an asterisk.
EVPs
A woman singing in the main room. None of us were singing.

*This is the woman's singing voice from the backup recorder. The sound is slightly different because of the different recorder.

Discussion in the office area with much laughing, followed a few seconds later by a faint voice saying "Stop." This is easier to hear using headphones or turning up the volume really loud.

There's a very faint noise (moan-like) just after Becky says a gangster's name in the office space. This may not be anything as it's so faint, but I included it anyway.

This is a great one. A woman whispers "Mia" as Becky is talking in the office space and then there are additional words underneath Becky's voice, but they're unintelligible.

A long low exhale as I'm talking in the office area. This sound is typical of EVPs, an exhale or moan instead of actual words.

Something bouncing off the floor of the main room (sounding like a clicking).

A high-pitched voice says "Whoo" or "Boo" in the performance space.

*The same EVP from the backup recorder,

Three unintelligible words in the main room. Sounds kind of like "Is this fun".

*This is an EVP corresponding to "Is This Fun" using the backup recorder. However, this EVP has more words and several more syllables, although all of them are also intelligible. This set is interesting because I had the backup recorder on the seat next to me just a couple of feet away, and yet the two recordings don't match up exactly.

Some kind of unidentifiable sound in the main room (a little like a moan).
